Prompts = Asparagus, Ginger, Martini

Obasan, sipping a glass of martini, remembers the day she first received a box of care package sent from earth by a friend. It contained a bag of rice, Nori seaweed, a can of white asparagus and a jar of pickled ginger. She was new to the Mars Colony where fresh ingredients were hard to come by. How excited she was! She could make pseudo sushi! She and her colleague immensely enjoyed the food that wasn’t rations. However, she can’t recall the taste of white asparagus at all. Is it her memory problem or was it so tasteless?
